William Elvin

William is studying a Bachelor of Music (Hons) at UQ, having completed a Bachelor of Mathematics majoring in pure maths (2022). William was awarded the UQ Percussion Prize (2020, 2022) and has also received awards for composition, including the Percy Brier Prize (2020). This flute sextet, Launch, was performed and recorded (2022). William was invited to perform Histoire du Tango for flute and marimba alongside QSO musicians in the UQ Percussion Dynamic concert (2022). William has successfully auditioned for AYO Young Symphonists since age 14, and performed with AYO at National Music Camp and in Autumn Season (2023).
