Tony Young

With over 40 years in the chartered accounting profession, Tony Young holds impressive experience in providing taxation and commercial advice and works with a diverse selection of clients, including professionals, family business, property developers, manufacturers, and retailers from the Brisbane offices of international firm BDO. He joined BDO in 1980 and was appointed partner in 1985.

Tony is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow of The Tax Institute and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Tony is a long-standing Member of the Board of BDO and was previously a valued member of the Board of Trustees at Brisbane Girls Grammar School for 16 years.

Tony deeply appreciates all music genres, especially live music, and believes in the local cultural benefits of a strong live music ‘scene’. He joined the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Board in 2023.
