Situated on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Brisbane, QPAC is also adjacent to South Bank Parklands and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Designed for orchestral performances, the 1,800 seat QPAC Concert Hall is one of Australia's most spectacular concert venues, and features raked seating throughout the hall. Towering above the stage, the magnificent Klais Grand Organ, with its impressive array of 6500 pipes, forms the central architectural focus of the space.

Walking

The venue is a 10-15 minute walk from Brisbane CBD, reached by crossing the river on the Goodwill Bridge (footbridge) or the Victoria Bridge.

Parking

Access to the Riverside car park and other Cultural Centre car parks is via Melbourne Street, Stanley Place or Russell Street. Arrange your car parking early through qtix 136 246 or online.

Train

South Brisbane train station is on Grey Street, centrally located between QPAC, the Convention Centre and Queensland Conservatorium. The train station is on the Beenleigh/Ferny Grove Line.

Bus

Buses run frequently from all directions to the Cultural Centre Busway on Melbourne Street, South Bank. If you are travelling from the city, buses to Southbank depart from Adelaide Street, Queen St, Ann Street, and the Myer Centre busway.

Ferry

CityCat ferries run from the University of Queensland, St Lucia up to Brett’s Wharf, Hamilton. The South Bank Parklands stop is a five minute walk from the venue. CityCats generally run every 20-30 minutes, more frequently on weekends.

Mobility difficulties

If you require assistance due to mobility difficulties, please call 136 246 and notify qtix box office staff at the time of booking. QPAC has a number of wheelchairs available for patron use. These are available from each designated patron drop off area listed below.

Wheelchairs

All venues cater for disabled patrons with special seating allocations and access. For additional requirements, please speak to the operator when you make your booking or contact the QPAC Front of House Manager on (07) 3840 7550 for further assistance.

Parking and drop off

There are drop off zones for patrons at Grey Street (for Lyric Theatre and Concert Hall) and Russell Street (for Playhouse and Cremorne Theatre). For the convenience of patrons in wheelchairs or who have difficulty walking, a specific set down area is open in the QPAC basement 90 minutes prior to and one hour after performances beneath the QPAC Concert Hall and Lyric Theatre. Entry to these set down area is from the tunnel entrance at Grey Street, and the entrance has a height restriction of two metres. Drivers will be assisted through the boom gate to the basement level. After dropping off their passenger/s, drivers will then proceed up the ramp to Little Stanley Street. Please be aware that the set down areas have limited capacity and we recommend you allow sufficient time for possible delays. Parking for people with mobility difficulties is available in all car parks.
