Prodigy Project

An opportunity for regional secondary school instrumental students to practice and play side by side with QSO musicians.


This program provides successful applicants with individualized in-person mentoring and 1:1 instruction from a QSO musician, leading to a performance showcase. The Prodigy Project offers important learning and performance experiences for students who strive for excellence in the classical music space. Regional locations for the Prodigy Project are announced annually by QSO.

The Prodigy Project supports the Queensland Instrumental Music curriculum in providing opportunities for students to become musicians, and it also reinforces the Australian Music Curriculum's aim of developing technical and expressive skills through making music.
