In the Music
Hear Ravel’s Bolero in full surround sound and bring the excitement of the concert hall experience into the classroom or indeed anywhere!
Be part of the action and experience the concert from various angles, as an audience member, in the conductor’s seat and beside the musicians. Hear Queensland Symphony Orchestra musicians talk about the work to learn more about the music, the instruments and the music for a deeper insight. A daring orchestral work, Bolero’s hypnotic, repetitive rhythm and interplay within the ostinato were unheard of at the time of composition and first performance in 1928. Now an iconic work, Bolero defies convention – so too does 360◦ video.
Combined, these innovations make for an entertaining and educational experience.
Requires Google Cardboard.
