Mozart's Jupiter

His Iconic Symphony

Presented in association with Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University

 Mozart's Jupiter image

Beethoven or Schumann? It’s a tough choice – and we’re leaving it up to you when we present Mozart’s Jupiter. The first time we perform the symphony, we’ll pair it with Beethoven’s moody Moonlight Sonata (with that famous melody), and Hungarian composer György Kurtág's eerie …quasi una fantasia… Our second Jupiter concert kicks off with Schumann’s only piano concerto. Top-tier Aussie pianist Andrea Lam will traverse every peak of this tastefully emotive work. As for the Jupiter? Well, it's Mozart - so you can expect spirit-lifting jollity interspersed with witty melodrama. Can't decide? Why not come to both?
